
The Community Power Hub will work with communities to develop local renewable energy solutions and support local community organisations and community groups to deliver implementation ready community energy projects.
Through the delivery of community-based renewable energy projects, the CPH will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase community support for Renewable Energy. It will also enable local economic benefits through cost savings for communities and support for local Renewable Energy jobs.
The Community Power Hub supports local community groups through:
conducting energy audits and energy use assessments
creating business model design
technical plans and advice
financial modelling and funding assistance
establishing governance structures (e.g. legal structures, agreements)
hosting community forums to engage with local communities at a grassroots level
empowering communities to transition to clean energy
