Here’s a community energy idea ….. There are lots of types of biomass that can be used to do lots of things such as make electricity or gas, heat water, create steam or warm air, but this project is looking at making biomass from chipped waste wood.  There seems to be quite a lot of interest in using waste wood chips for energy, and increasing interest is often a precursor to increased demand, but when questions are asked about the supply of wood chips, things sometimes become murky.  It’s great if users have their own supply, like dead farm trees or waste wood from construction, demolition or manufacturing processes but some potential users want a supplier that they can buy the wood chips from.  Your local community Power Hub can work on establishing supply specifications and sources to match and enhance the local demand for biomass.
