Here’s a community energy idea ….. There are lots of things that can be done to lead us to better health but a local Community Power Hub hopes that it will be sunshine that adds to the health outcomes of people using a large, regional, public health care facility. 300 plus kW of solar panels is a lot of panels but big health care facilities have lots of buildings and use lots of electricity. If such a facility is located in a nice sunny area like this one is, then sunshine really might be healthy. A detailed feasibility study is needed to look at the technical and economic issues of any organisation installing rooftop solar and hopefully such a study will show what it makes sense. Once all the approvals have been agreed to, then the organisation can find the money to make this dream of healthy sunshine a reality.
