Here’s a community energy idea … A local Community Power Hub worked with a not-for-profit, Australian disability enterprise whose staff, amongst other things, assemble and pack industrial components for a variety of businesses. The local Community Power Hub’s role was to facilitate the preparation of a feasibility study to install solar on the roof of the building where this work is undertaken. Happily, the feasibility study showed that a solar installation of about 100 kW is both technically and financially possible, so funding sources are now being sought.
