The Art Resource Collective (ARC) is an artist-run, non-profit organisation that began in 1982. Today it has an administration base, gallery arc, retail outlet, theatrette, private studios and public access areas for printmaking, ceramics, metalwork, photography, painting and drawing.
Based in the old butter factory in the main street of Yinnar, it is a complex site that needs an extensive refit to be more energy efficient and comfortable to work within, especially during the winter cold.
The Southern CORE Fund audits have been completed and the LVCPH matched funding so that ARC could secure a Latrobe Valley Authority grant to design upgrades for their facilities so that they can install solar on the premises.
They have now employed an architect design planner as a part of this funding agreement.
