Here’s a community energy idea ….. If you roof faces due north, is not shadowed by anything and is new and strong, then why haven’t you got solar panels on it? A not-for-profit factory employing people with disabilities is being assisted by its local Community Power Hub to get a business case together to install solar panels. Assuming the business case ‘stacks up’, it might still take the enterprise a while to find the funds for the installation but, in the meantime, they have had a close look at their electricity costs and think that there are a variety of things that they can do to get their bill down. An all round win with more success to come!
